Cathay Pacific Airlines

Cathay Pacific offers business and first class service to five continents and features bed style seats on most long haul aircraft. As a member of OneWorld Cathay Pacific business class and first class ticket holders are awarded generous mileage bonuses and are able to connect to almost any destination worldwide. Our business class fares with Cathay Pacific are tailored towards business oriented travelers, requiring flexibility and planning their trip within 30 days of their booking date. Cathay Pacific business and first class discounts may be limited to Premiere members. Business class fares are bid driven, with the carrier setting a minimum fare level with price escalations as business class tickets continue to be sold. First Class fares are not as volatile and do not change with the same frequency of business class fares and tickets.

The finest in luxury travel is available for members of our Passport Premiere and Chairman's Inner Circle to destinations in Asia with Cathay Pacific, a member of the One World Alliance. Cathay Pacific has installed an upgraded flat bed business class seat on its long haul aircraft, using an angled pod layout. Business class fares, tickets, and offers are available with Cathay Pacific via New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. While Cathay Pacific offers minimal discounts for First Class travel, special fares, deals, and ticket offers are made available on occasion. Cathay Pacific also participates in the Around the World fare program which offer up to 16 flight segments for a fixed price in business and first class. One perk of First Class travel with Cathay Pacific is access to ‘The Wing’, the exclusive lounge in Hong Kong. First Class passengers can freshen up with a luxurious bath in The Cabana or enjoy some downtime in The Library. Business class passengers and ticket holders are also provided access to a separate business class lounge. Cathay Pacific awards mileage credit in its own Marco Polo mileage program, as well as in any of its One World partner members programs.

From North America, Cathay Pacific operates both Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 777 aircraft. Cathay Pacific operates multiple daily nonstop flights from each of its U.S. gateways except Chicago from which it flies once daily. Cathay Pacific’s aircraft are equipped with just 8 First Class seats on the Boeing 747-400 and six seat on the Boeing 777.

On December 7th 2010 Cathay Pacific Chairman Tony Tyler unveiled its next generation business class seat stating “Our new flat-bed Business Class seat was developed after listening to what our customers had to say and it will, I believe, underline our commitment to excellence in innovation.”

Cathay Pacific was the first Asian airline to install angled lie-flat beds in business class in 2001.
